Sono pochi i lavori a stampa pubblicati dopo il 1879, che trattino delle tradizioni popolari veneziane e che non riportino perlomeno un’immagine ricavata dalla raccolta di disegni acquerellati eseguiti da Giovanni Grevembroch. Infatti, fu in quell’anno che gli eredi Gradenigo fecero dono della preziosa raccolta, alla biblioteca Correr, rendendoli così, noti agli studiosi.
