La mia primissima indagine sul campo in Gabon, nell’autunno del 1965, fu consacrata ai Kota della regione di Makokou e Mekambo, ma non riguardò direttamente le loro figure di antenati, le quali già da qualche decennio non erano più in uso, bensì il “satsi” un loro rito di iniziazione degli adolescenti.
